The instructor covers flying fundamentals during a 30-minute ground-school session before helping pupils into the cockpit of a Cessna 172N single-engine aircraft. Soaring high above Morrisville, the instructor teaches students to control and maneuver the plane. After an hour, the plane lands and newly crowned pilots take home a souvenir T-shirt.

The lesson may be used toward FAA pilot certification requirements, although certification is not included with the Groupon. In order to obtain FAA certification, pilots must be 17 or older, a US citizen, meet medical standards, and be fluent in English.
