The Deal

Deseret the Musical

A tribute to the pioneers of America's west, Deseret the Musical follows the characters of a small town in the Utah Territory during the summer of 1869. The show's heroine, Allyson Warnick, dreams of the outside world even as she is engaged to marry the reliable Jacob Stevens. When a charming man from San Francisco unexpectedly arrives in town, Allyson's life falls out of balance as she is forced to choose between the steady life she knows and the lure of the unknown. A slate of peppy songs keep the show humming, with "The Golden Spike" commemorating the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad and "Sir, You Have to Leave" performed for the audience member who stays the longest after the curtain falls.
