Counterfeit Irish pubs can be detected by their five-leaf clovers, poorly concealed sake taps, and suspicious number of Blarney Stones. Avoid bars that are merely Irish-ish with this Groupon.

Crawlers arrive in pirate garb at MacDinton’s Irish Pub & Restaurant on Saturday, July 14, beginning at 1:30 p.m. for a 3 p.m. pub-crawl kickoff. From MacDinton’s, travelers move on to enjoy $2 drafts and $3 pirate-themed shots at six other pubs for about an hour per stop, including Lodge Restaurant & Bar, Yard of Ale, SOHO Tavern, and Cheap. At 8 p.m., The Dubliner Irish Pub will host the pirate-costume contest, whose winners get a two-night stay at the Hilton Clearwater. An evening of landlubbing concludes at Mangroves at 10 p.m.
