$109 for Brazilian Blowout ($250 Value)

During the two-hour Brazilian blowout, a stylist suds hair with a clarifying shampoo before combing a protein-rich formula through it. A blow dryer and flatiron seal in the serum, which calms frizz, boosts shine, and leaves hair easier to style for 10–12 weeks.

New Hairz

In addition to the usual work of a stylist—cutting, coloring, and styling—Holly Olsen helps clients who have lost their hair regain natural-looking manes. For more than 15 years, she's practiced hair-replacement techniques, gaining experience in Squire Natural, Apollo, and Life Like hair systems. This specialty allows Holly to marry her passion for hairstyling with her desire to help people. Of course, she's also eager to enhance her clients' beauty with a variety of services, including cuts, colors, weaves, and extensions. She stocks her styling station with Pureology and Moroccanoil products, which leave hair as soft and sweet-smelling as a recently laundered cinnamon roll.

Some hair-straightening products that claim to be formaldehyde-free include aldehyde compounds, which are similar to the carcinogen formaldehyde. Side effects may include nosebleeds, headaches, vomiting, and respiratory problems, among others. Learn more about the health risks here.

The Groupon Guide to: Recycling

Recycling helps communities reduce landfill waste and returns valuable raw materials to the manufacturing process in order to further conserve resources. What are some household items you can potentially recycle?

  • Aluminum cans
  • Glass cans
  • Steel drums: both industrial cylindrical tanks and the Caribbean musical instrument of the same name
  • Unbelievable story about going to the post office that actually happened to your fiancé
  • Newspapers, which are now shredded up and pumped directly into the Internet
  • That disgusting old velveteen rabbit. Useless.

What surprising items are actually 100% recyclable?
