Q&A with the Vice Chairman Volunteer Committee Of Akf Usa, Central Us Region
What is one fun, unusual fact about your business?
A major feature of the Walk is the Village In Action with interactive exhibits designed by participants from local communities. The Village in Action showcases the impact of the Foundation’s projects and provides visitors with a pathway to be engaged as global citizens.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
Hundreds of volunteers from around the U.S. work to make the Foundation’s programs, especially PartnershipsInAction Walk, a great success. Volunteers contribute their time to build exhibits, organize fundraising events, and spread awareness about global poverty and the Foundations’ solutions to global poverty. By volunteering we can touch the lives of people around the world, take steps to alleviate global poverty and truly make a world of difference.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
100 percent of donations and all net proceeds raised through events go directly to projects supported by the Foundation.
“Great run for an even greater cause”
