The Rugged Maniac 5K obstacle race takes place Saturday, February 16, at Waldo Motorsports in Waldo. The first wave of runners takes off at 9 a.m.; participants should arrive about 90 minutes before their assigned wave. The race features mud crawls, a 60-foot water slide, and a slew of other challenging obstacles that range from a fire jump to a grueling endurance tea party. The event also includes a daylong festival featuring live music along with games such as mechanical bulls and adult bounce houses.
