There are two sizes at A-OK Chinese: big and bigger. These generous helpings of American-style Chinese food include mushroom-goat-cheese rangoons and chicken-fried pork buns on the big side, and spicy lo mein and five-spice ribs on the bigger side. Along with an assortment of daily specials, A-OK also treats guests to a full wine and beer list, which spotlights local craft brews and full bottles of red, white, and sparkling vino. You can even take some of it to go in their space-age-looking growlers which are insulated bags, making them safe to carry home or juggle without fear of breaking.
James Strife began his hair career by apprenticing at a Dallas salon dubbed one of America's Top 100 by Elle magazine. After getting certified in cutting and coloring hair, his curriculum vitae expanded to include styling hair for Oscar de la Renta runway shows and for TV shows such as Made. Now Strife brings his experience to his own salon, where men and women can get their hair cut, enhanced with highlights and toner, or made glamorous with balayage streaks or smoothing Brazilian blowouts.
360 Pizza brings New York?style pies to Austin. Guests can order it by the slice to really get in the New York poseur mindset, or follow their heart and order an entire pie. Build-your-own pies can get creative with the help of specialty meats and toppings such as sweet sopressata, italian truffle oil, and pine nuts. Meanwhile, specialty pies leave the creativity up to the chefs, with options like the No Pity Joe Pesci, piled with meatballs and other italian meats, plus roasted garlic and onions. There's also a Popeye & Olive Oyl Pie, with the obvious (spinach and extra-virgin olive oil) heightened by garlic, ricotta, and mozzarella. Along with pizza, 360 Pizza has a variety of calzones, hot or cold subs, and specialty salads on the menu.
