Quilt 'N' Things Fiber Arts, Altadena

Just a month before Quilt’ n’ Things was going to close its doors, new owner, Lana Norton stepped in with a vision.  Her desire was to create a space that would cater to all fiber arts enthusiasts—quilters, sewers, knitters, felters, embroiderers, weavers, spinners—and to those who appreciate the traditional arts that have been passed on from one generation to the next.   Aside from being a typical fabric store, the shop offers 3-4 classes per week to include quilting, knitting, felting, weaving, embroidery, crochet, re-purposing and more.  The ample space allows for a larger class area for sewing and quilting and a smaller more intimate table for handwork classes in knitting, crocheting, and embroidery.  Along with a variety of classes being taught at the shop, Quilt 'N' Things also offers unique memberships and subscriptions to customers, which promotes the ideas of sewing locally. These Sew Local Memberships offer subscribers unique perks, including monthly fabric stashes, free studio classes, the opportunity to host a crafting event at the shop, and so much more! Quilt’ n’ Things Fiber Arts opened its doors in late September 2016 & Lana is thrilled to be carrying on the Quilt’ n’ Things legacy and re-creating a store that’s become a fixture in the Montrose Shopping Park for decades. Those who come by to visit, shop, or share a cup of coffee or tea will surely be in for a treat!
