Gio's Chicken, Silver Spring

The sounds and smells of chicken charbroiling on the grill is a common experience at Gio's Chicken. That's because the chefs specialize in Peruvian-style grilled chicken. Along with cuts of juicy and crispy chicken, they serve up other Peruvian dishes including their specialty: lomo saltodo. Strips of steak are stir-fried with peppers, tomatoes, and onions nestled on a bed of yuca fries and rice. Sides of fried plantains, black beans, and coleslaw round out each meal.
