The French Creek tends to be a bit pricey for what you get.

They charged $5.50 for the smallest side salad I had ever seen! Flat bread pizza was 4 slices. Not good. Not sure we will go back.

Parking in the lot off of 611 is much better than parking off the side of Detroit. he first time we went we approached from Detroit and didn't know the lot was there.

Grew up going to this establishment, however, it has recently undergone a makeover that is to its benefit. Food was good and their were offerings for gluten free and dieters. We had burgers, fries, and salad. salad was mostly iceberg with two cherry tomatoes. Homemade italian dressing saved it! If you are a "foodie" and like a chef that is inovative and does brussel sprouts with bacon or cool appetizers, this place is not for you. If you want a place to grab a beer and a meal after work to watch the game and maybe run into someone you grew up with, I recommend it. Seemed that the families with children were enjoying it as well.

It wasn't bad. I didn't dislike it, it's fairly standard pub food. By all means go, try it for yourself.

Good food and a nice selection of beverage options.
Not too long ago, a historical building overlooking French Creek stood empty, waiting patiently for its next chapter to begin. The former Creekside Tavern in the nearly two-century-old building had been a community staple for decades, and locals were eager to see it open again. In 2013, they finally got their chance with the debut of The French Creek est. 1816 pub and eatery.
Patrons belly up to the renovated bar for 40 craft beer selections and a glass or carafe of wine from all around the world. These drinks pair with perch dinners and house-made meatloaf, as well as burgers that arrive on brioche, pretzel, or gluten-free buns. Guests can eat inside among the pool tables or head outside to the patio, where they can relax in the shade of an umbrella, listen to acoustic music from live acts, or gaze at the flowing creek to try to spot any krakens.
