Horrific is an understatement. I was so elated when my significant other surprised me with a Massage for my birthday 3 weeks early! I LOVE massages. The first disappointment was when I called (and called two other times) I was informed she is a single technician who is booked 2 MONTHS out! I ignored that she was unfriendly when she heard my disappointment and figured if she is that booked out she must be amazing! I received my groupon march 1st, was not able to get in until May 6th. I received my massage this weekend. The address listed on groupon is different than the one where she operates out of. When I called and never reached anyone (again) the voicemail gives a different address. It is not at the Truxtun location, rather the upstairs of Rockstars gymnastics stuidio off of District blvd. The massage table's face/head rest is not accurate for the table. I tried to adjust it myself while I waited for her to come in. She said my (amazing) spouse ordered the hour full body with body scrub but I had other options. I let her know I didn't care about the scrub I just wanted to feel relaxed. The massage was the opposite of relaxing. I had her breasts rub against the back of my head the whole time. Every time I started to get into the massage she would do a weird maneuver. She would pinch your muscles and hold them raising them from your skin and the rest felt like just a lot of hard pressing. She gave me a scalp massage, that just rubbed my hair.. i was worried about breakage vs when you get your scalp massaged or shampooed and love it. I get massaged at least once a month. I would NEVER go back. When we were done she let me know I would feel drunk. I was like ya sure ok.. but when I sat up I actually felt extremely sick. I have had massages since I was a teenager. She said because I passed on the body scrub, she did deeper tissue so it would make me feel sick. I left with tears in my eyes.. stiff and queasy. I did not tip her. I couldn't. The entire thing was a disappointment. Having to write this review is a disappointment. On my way home I went to an Asian massage parlor and gave another hour of my day for them to rub away what she had done. After that one I felt great, but still so disappointed. I didn't want my spouse to know his good hearted, birthday gift was such a bad experience. I want massages as gifts in the future but not from this woman. Negative Stars.
