There was no one painting in the establishment when we arrived Bonus, right? WRONG!!!
I bought the sitting fee for my bestie and her baby (a first foot print for daddy) a three year old, a six year old, and myself I really felt that the customer service was lacking The first thee or four times our family went, someone helped us, was interactive, and made it an "experience" Today was none of those things I was extremely disappointed In fact, I was so irritated I skipped my project Instead I sat back and watched and listened We got our own paint, and went about our business Much of the time we spent there, I watched a young man sit in front of a computer I heard him field a few calls and speak of how much he loved sharing in the joy of art with the children that come in Guess he must've meant other children? He certainly didn't mean ours I Won't be going back I let him know how I felt Save your money, buy a canvas and paint at home This place has gone so far downhill, it would take a race horse to catch it

Fun time saves you a little money but still a pricy activity.

A TON of people "work" at this location, but none of them were very helpful. It seemed like the only one doing any work in the entire building was a young man named Mike & his boss didn't speak to him very nicely. Kind of made me feel uncomfortable to be there with that happening. I hope he stands up for himself at some point, or finds another job.
Overall, painting ceramics was a fun experience and I look forward to picking up my items, but wish the staff had been more helpful while I was there. When I arrived, I told the girls working that I had never been there before, and then they disappeared into the back of the store to never come out again. They didn't even show us where to find paint, brushes, anything. We sat in a room for nearly two hours with no employees. Fast forward a couple of hours, Mike is now on for his shift, and while very pleasant when approached, he is just constantly moving boxes around and arranging displays because some older woman is barking at him to do so. She didn't seem very professional, and why are the rearranging the entire store in the middle of the day while there are customers there?
The whole thing kind of left a bad taste in my mouth & I feel like I grossly over-payed because I didn't have the type of experience I was expecting, or that I paid for.
Named one of Parents magazine's Top 10 Birthday Chains in 2010, Color Me Mine's international franchise of DIY ceramics studios cater to an older crowd as well. Hundreds of unadorned ceramic pieces—including vases, dinnerware, figurines and comic book superheroes —await the attentions of muses of kids and their keepers alike, as do glazes in earthy tones and bright crimsons to frighten bulls away from china cabinets. Guests follow simple step-by-step instructions that leave plenty of room for creative expression. When painters are satisfied with their work, the professional kiln-workers help glaze and fire it for them before customers retrieve the finished piece a few days later.
