What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Brown and Healthy is the only place for fitness in the Station North Arts District! Our community centered, lifestyle enhancing membership includes our own ‘in house’ fitness programs, wellness workshops, discounts from service providers, Brown and Healthy KIDS programming, and more.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
Our fitness professionals are hand picked personal trainers and group fitness instructors who cater to classes of only 10-15 in order to provide personal attention and motivation to our clients before, during, and after each fitness session.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
The desire to show the world that brown health professionals exist and the need to foster change of narrative and growth in our community in a positive and proactive way. Brown and Healthy is more than fitness it is a movement.
What do you love most about your job?
I love seeing the hope people have when they walk into the studio and the drive they develop. I also love innovating for social justice and building strong minds and bodies while doing so. This organization is the best part of my days.
