Upon earning a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Christopher Slycord feared he might feel unfulfilled working with machines and not people. So he made a hard left turn, first becoming a certified nursing assistant and then obtaining his certification in acupuncture. At his practice, he supplements his traditional acupuncture sessions with cupping and Chinese herb regimens, using individualized treatment plans to tackle ailments that range from anxiety and headaches to chronic arthritis and pants-fall-down-a-lot syndrome.
