It's so much more than just a camel ride.... Very informative. fun to meet & get acquainted with such unusual, unique friendly animals. And it was great to see how well cared for these camels, goats & beautiful horses.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn all about camels from the owner and the amazing staff. They are unbelievably genuine in their want to educate you about camels and have you experience first hand, these spectacular animals. They are there to answer questions and provide you with insight into their "ships of the desert". We noticed that without hesitation the owner, Guy, provided the disabled grandfather of a young boy and his family with his golf cart so his grandson could bring him around the barn to where the camels were and allowed him to be part of the experience....very thoughtful. We are already planning on a return visit with other friends.

This was an awesome experience. Guy was so knowledgeable and passionate about the camels. We had so much fun learning and playing. I would and have recommend this execursion to my family and friends. Next time we are in the area we will come back to see what else Guy has added to the Safari. The place is so new. So much room to grow and expand. 5 stars!

Go prepared to learn a lot about camels (and related animals); bring all your questions and be ready to get close and personal with those beautiful animals! Also, take advantage of the opportunity to learn to ride a Segway (it's super intuitive) and enjoy the beautiful location of your camel safari!

From Our Editors

A fully operational farm situated at the base of Mount Baker, Camel Safari currently houses alpacas, goats, horses, and 25 dromedary and bactrian camels. The farm’s owner Guy Seeklus fell in love with camels in 2010 and it wasn't long after that he purchased his first one. Their calm and steady nature convinced him to create an experience where people could interact with camels and get to know more about the species. Today, the intrepid can ride through his farm’s organic hay field on the back of one of three riding camels—Ben, Raider, and Lodi—or get to know his many other camels during an afternoon of exploration.
