If you are not staying at the hotel, leave your valuables in the car. The water park provides baskets to hold your belongings, but there were no lockers. There are also tables and chairs where you can keep your belongings and enjoy lunch or dinner.

There are only 2 slides and a lazy river, so while we planned on making this a full day outing, the kids had their fill within about 1.5 hours. The hot tub was out of order and only sectioned off with caution tape, it hadn't been emptied and was very gross. I wasn't overly impressed, but there aren't too many indoor waterparks near Kalamazoo, so for some quick fun for the kids, it's not bad.

No private showers with a curtain if you're there for the day.

Very small but great for one parent taking multiple children as I could easily see them all. Kids had fun

Not immaculate with very poor disgusting bathrooms. Out of toilet paper, stall door wouldn't open. I would say the kids didn't notice and had a blast anyway. It was just disappointing in that aspect. Seriously just check the bathrooms and clean

There is a small stand inside the water park where you can buy food and drinks but it is a little pricey. They provide life jackets and towels. I have a 2 year old and a 10 month old and it was perfect for them!

This was a good place for a younger crowd, maybe 5th grade and younger. Bring easy clothes to change in and out of as you want want to spend much time in the bathrooms. They lack a changing area and are pretty gross.

From Our Editors

Surfari Joe's, a safety-focused water park, helps families to splash to their hearts' content with 18,000 square feet of indoor opportunities to get wet. A pair of extreme slides flings riders out of the building before funneling them back inside, where colorful runs for tykes share space with low-speed attractions such as Lino's Lagoon, a plesiosaur-free pond that warms guests with an 88-degree embrace. Between thrills, visitors can explore a newly designed, redemption-based video arcade or refuel at The Water Hole Bar & Restaurant, which teems with delicious snacks and appetizers, housemade pizzas, and fiber-rich faux palm trees. Surfari Joe's happily handles parties and special events, and its onsite Fairfield Inn & Suites Hotel reaches out to dedicated water sliders with cozy suites featuring flat-screen TVs, free WiFi, access to a fitness center, and a complimentary hot breakfast for starting a day on the slides.
