About Mauro Spina

Mauro Spina is one of the most sought-after and revered hair care professionals in the industry today.
Beyond his long standing celebrated talent as a trend setting stylist, what makes Mauro vastly different from other hair care specialists began with one simple goal: to eliminate the widespread use of toxic hair care products by creating a full holistic line of both hair and scalp treatment products made from purely naturally sourced ingredients.
Mauro was born and raised in the small southern Italian province of Puglia.
After completing his formal education in 1963, Mauro moved to England where he apprenticed for some of the most renowned hair stylists in Europe at that time, including Carita in Paris as well as Vergotini's in Milan. Upon returning to London, Mauro emerged as a top stylist for Leonard's of London and Elizabeth Arden. In 1968, Mauro successfully opened his first salon and soon after opened his first hairdressing academy in 1971. Thereafter, Mauro recruited the most talented graduates from his academy and created a team of stylist which traveled extensively throughout Europe and the United States, demonstrating the latest styling, coloring as well as both hair and scalp treatment techniques. The team, known as "The Mauro Artistic Team" earned numerous prestigious industry awards while competing in international hair shows. At the very height of his involvement in international competitions, Mauro started to realize the full extent of how damaging the then prevailing conventional chemical hair treatments where to both hair as well as the scalp which lends nourishment to healthy hair. It was at this point in his career that Mauro decided to return to his native Italy to emerce himself in the study of natural hair care. There, Mauro spent several years studying the science of trichology as a dermatological approach to a healthy scalp and naturally healthy hair. After successfully becoming a certified trichologist, Mauro went on to study the sciences supportive of both herbology and aromatherapy as his holistic approach to proper scalp and hair care, treatment and repair came sharply into focus. A focus which was then shared with and taught throughout his then 6 European hair salons and 3 hairdressing academies.
In December of 1989, following the extraordinary demand for his all natural and restorative approach to scalp and hair care
Mauro expanded his business to include a salon located here in the United States located in the City of Los Angeles on fashionable Melrose Avenue. His reputation preceding him, Mauro became immediately popular among a large number of celebrity clients from the news and entertainment industry due to the very nature of their work. Although everyone is exposed to harsh environmental forces throughout their lives, the care of such celebrities offered Mauro the added opportunity to immediately treat, reverse prior damage caused and properly educate those who are often exposed daily to such harmful factors as harsh set lighting as well as the prior repetitive use of harmful chemical shampoos, hairsprays, mousses and gels. So what now makes Mauro vastly different from other hair care specialists? Mauro's revised goal: to educate and to share his carefully crafted hand-tailored holistic line of all natural hair and scalp treatment programs to promote proper health and to help eliminate the widespread use of toxic hair care products which harm the body as well as the earth on which we live. Christine McConnell is a natural born artist with a life-long flair for aesthetics who prides herself in the creation and re-creation of styles both new in design and those which have been proven over time. Specifically, Christine has earned much acclaim by working closely with numerous celebrities for special events, print work and on film sets due to her proven ability to replicate hair and makeup styles from any era under extreme time and environmental pressures. Christine specializes in coloring blondes and natural looking shades of brunettes. Christine's professional photographs have been displayed in numerous magazines, billboards and have been featured on numerous national advertising campaigns throughout the United States.
Emma Sheahan / Stylist & Advanced Colorist
Emma is a celebrated stylist and trend setting colorist who is well known for developing a cutting edge technique of creating dimensional color by using intentionally disbursed shading as a means of enhancing a particular client's personal features to include skin tone, eye color and fashion preference. Emma is an ardent advocate for individualized fashion looks that embrace each client's life perspective leaving each client to look and feel their very best without compromise. Emma is well versed in the treatment methods of both the Balayage and Ombre techniques of high fashion and enjoys nothing more than to help a client expand upon an existing look or to create a personalized new look for any occasion. As a self-professed student of the arts who has vowed to remain current yet edgy, Emma is well versed in the advancements of her craft. Alla Depalma is a Gold Metal Skills winner of the USA Leadership Board for both State and Regional Championships for creativity and advanced haircutting design. Alla has been extensively trained by some of the most celebrated European and US artists in the proper styling, cutting, straightening, advanced natural coloring techniques as well as the proper care and treatment of both hair and scalp to promote healthy hair growth in both men and women. European trained in the latest techniques for over 10 years before traveling to the US, Alla is also well versed in the various well celebrated techniques taught and practiced through Vidal Sassoon and Toni & Guy. Victoria Boggiano / Senior Stylist & Advanced Colorist
Victoria Boggiano is a graduate of the well celebrated Cinta Aveda Institute of San Francisco and proud third generation Hair Stylist and Make-Up artist who has spent years working the hottest and most demanding runway and fashion shows. Carol, who attended a Paul Mitchell School, and was trained by Leading Hair Stylist, has had a passion for the hair and beauty industry most of her life. Carol loves creating natural-looking color, and highlights. She has a passion for healthy hair, and teaching clients how to properly care of their hair. It is her mission to teach every woman that they can have vibrant, healthy long hair. Her skills include styling hair, coloring, cutting and maintaining healthy hair. She has mastered a wide range of hair techniques including long hair, blow-dries and up-dos. However her specialty and passion is color. Carol combines her passion for styling, and coloring to give every client and unforgettable experience by capturing their natural beauty. Carol believes in continual education and strives to stay at the forefront of her field with her knowledge of new products and services available, in order to provide excellent service to her clientele.

Lintermans' philosophy has always been to capture the essence of art and beauty through hair. His revolutionary 30-minute dry haircutting technique provides the foundation for the most flattering haircut for each client, one that continues to look wonderful, and be manageable, from one haircut to the next.
