Portos Peri Peri, Bolingbrook

Moving from small town Portugal to the US, the owners of The Port of Peri Peri aim to provide fresh grilled chicken dishes with succulent sides to their guests. This, of course, is accompanied by delicious Peri Peri sauces and herbs, such as their bird's eye chili. Those visiting for the first time can expect a lot off their menu, including:

• Zesty sides: Enjoy french fries with peri salt or cassava fries for something more rustic. Perimayo corn has a flavorful mayo dip on the side while the coleslaw or steamed vegetables are a healthier accompaniment.
• Platters: The All for One serves 1-2 people and includes a 1/2 chicken, 3 peri wings and a regular side while the Family Platter is suitable for larger groups for a taste of a little bit of everything.
• Between bread: The chefs offer a chicken burger on ciabatta, a pita sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and peri mayo, and a tortilla wrap stuffed with chicken and more toppings.
