For more than 50 years, Boston Ballet has been wowing enthusiastic audiences with their lively theater and dance productions, floating through choreographed works like Cinderella and Romeo & Juliet. In 2009, the graceful dancers made their way from the nearby Wang Center to their now-permanent performance home at the 2,500 seat Boston Opera House, although hopeful prima ballerinas still receive their training at the nearby five-story Boston Ballet School – the largest of its kind in the nation – in Boston’s South End. The holiday season officially kicks off in the city when the Boston Ballet announces its beloved performance schedule for their timeless production The Nutcracker.
