Luigi's Place, Plymouth

The front page of the menu at Luigi's Place features a picture of a sun-dappled alley somewhere in Italy, the greenery of potted plants popping against vermillion walls. And indeed, perusing the menu feels a bit like taking an adventure through the Italian countryside. During breakfast, peppers and sun-dried tomatoes color the Rowers Omelet, which is perhaps named for Venice's gondoliers. The panini sandwiches served at lunchtime are named more straightforwardly: the Napoli includes pesto spread, thinly-sliced prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, and EVOO, and the similar vegetarian Sorrento opts for buffalo mozzarella, tomato, and pesto spread.
