Brian was very knowledgeable about Charleston and its history. He was a great
tour guide. He took time to answer questions and the tour covered quite
a bit of ground without feeling like you were being marched along to cover all the sites. Brian also took as by shops we might be interested in visiting on our own time but didn't make us feel like he was doing a sales pitch. Great tour! Thanks Brian!!

The tour guide was great! I had been to Charleston before and gone on quite a few tours, however, my friend had never been. It was by far the best tour I have been on in probably any city, but especially Charleston. It was clear the guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Charleston and is excited to share his knowledge and interest with others. It was a really great tour, and well worth the money!

"I love that I get to take a walk, literally, into the past every day." That's how Charleston Sole's owner, Brian Simms, described his job for the company website's Q & A section. A self-described history buff and Charleston native, Simms leads tours that explore the Holy City's past, lore, and legends. He spins tales of days past at landmarks such as Revolutionary War sites, Antebellum Mansions, and St. Michael's Church—Charleston's oldest church edifice. Simms' walking adventures last approximately two hours and cover 1.5 miles—the average distance humans can walk before needing to recharge their batteries.
