What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Since 1999 Gracie Charleston has been offering Gracie Jiu-Jitsu instruction straight from the source in an ego free environment. Our Head Instructor, Jerry Brewer, has been a direct student of Grand Master Relson Gracie since 1997 and has run the school under his supervision since its opening.

Is your location strictly for adults, or can kids participate as well?
Ages 4 and up

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
After 10 plus years of training various martial arts I never felt comfortable with the techniques taught. I quickly realized the most logical, practical, and effective approach to self defense was GJJ. So I made it my mission To spread the techniques of the Gracie family to the Charleston area.

What do you love most about your job?
