Suzie Baker found herself fascinated by skincare after landing a gig as an office manager at one of the largest medical spas in the country. She soon discovered, though, that she didn't want to sit on the sidelines when it came to helping people look their most beautiful. Hence, she enrolled in a school for esthetics and eventually opened up her own skincare studio, Lake Norman Laser and Skin Center.

Located within the offices of Holistic Healing Chiropractic, this cozy med spa offers a full slate of skincare and aesthetic services. Pulling from a shelf stocked with premium products from the likes of PCA, Lifeline, and Xtreme Lash, Suzie and her staff install semi-permanent eyelash extensions that look like the real thing, whisk away unwanted hair with waxing sessions, and perform luxurious body treatments. The star players on the menu, however, are the peels and facials, which range from traditional cleansing treatments to high-tech variations that can rope in LED light therapy or state-of-the-art microdermabrasion wands that slough away dead skin cells with high-pressure blasts of oxygen.
