The Picante menu is founded on five main fillings—herb chicken, steak, pork carnitas, fish, and grilled vegetables. Moving up and down the counter, chefs fold these fillings into tacos, burritos, or bowls before adorning them with colorful salsas, spices, and guacamole. As they work, huge Mexican murals watch them from the walls, murals depicting vivid Mexican skeletons, bright green peppers, and a grinning portrait of Frida Kahlo. Beyond these images lie exposed brick walls that surround the tables and high-tops where guests bite into juicy burritos and sip on bottled beers. Out on the front patio, chrome-colored furniture sits beneath the vibrant green Picante sign, a few red umbrellas, and a big blue sky full of parachuters who love to land on patio furniture.
