Food was very good. Service was just okay.
Had to dine in to use groupon and it was very warm,no fans & AC was on very low.

The food was outstanding!!! The facility is less than comfortable and service is slow. My recommendation is to to call in a takeout order, it is well worth it.

Awesome experience. Got the wings / fish combo. Both freshly fried ( waited 15 to cook ) which is fine with me. Wings and fish both nicely seasoned , collards very flavorful ( no pork ) , yams were also good. My sis had Mac n cheese which was very good. The staff was great , very personable. Definitely a place to go back to !

EXCELLENT!!! EXCELLENT!!! VERY IMPRESSED. BROUGHT FAMILY IN FROM CANADA A WEEK AGO, THEY ARE STILL RAVING ABOUT THE EXCELLENT TASTE, PLEASANT ATMOSPHERE AND NO LEAVING HUNGRY. WILL EAT THERE AS OFTEN AS TIME PERMITS. GREAT!!

Delicious food. Everything we have had is wonderful. Best cabbage ever! Best M&C ever, best sweet potatoes ever, in other words all is great. Great service, nicest people.
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? We are a three generation family owned restaurant serving authentic soul food; as well your favorite soul food items with a twist that include items like a variety of Mac & Cheese melts, and collard green quesadilla.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? Over 50 years ago my mother, Ruthie open her first restaurant in Brooklyn; Bringing her Southern Authentic Dishes to New York. My mother and I always wanted to expand. Keeping my promise to her in 2013 I opened my food truck Ruthie’s of Charlotte; Now we have just recently opened a restaurant.
What do you love most about your job? I love when a customer eats the first bite and it just shows on their face how good the food is.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer? One customer said “The truth is this was the BEST D*** sandwich I’ve ever had in my life, that was like heaven in my mouth I swear; I have been blessed.”
