When she isn’t working in her West Side studio, Stacee lives in Hyde Park with her two sons and runs The Art Room, a teaching studio for artists of all ages. Armed with degrees in fine art from the University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of Chicago, Stacee teaches a mixture of classical technique and contemporary expression. During her classes, students work with the finest materials in a studio decorated with classical masterpieces because Stacee believes artists can improve when inspired by great artists and poker-playing dogs.
