About this business
From Our Editors
There are a lot of things that former collegiate swimmer and 513FIT owner Charlie Levine enjoys that may seem incongruous with the image of a personal trainer. Enjoying real food, not taking two hours to work out, and appreciating that fitness should be fun. Still, Charlie maintains the exceptional shape one would expect of a fitness professional, offering proof that his philosophy of balance between exercise and life enjoyment is one that works. Inside his large fitness studio, he teaches students how to prevent exercise from becoming a burden, and how to adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle without hanging kettlebells from their toothbrushes. He even hosts periodic shopping trips where he'll go into detail on what foods to buy, as well as offer help selecting the freshest produce and the most humanely raised, minimally processed meat. Classes in the studio, which occur every weekday, incorporate both bodyweight- and resistance-assisted exercises, helping participants develop lean muscle mass, build flexibility, and stay motivated toward achieving their fitness goals.
