According to UNICEF estimates, there are currently more than 150 million orphan children in the world. It's a staggering number, and one that inspired the founding of Run4TheChildren in 2011. That year, the race hit the pavement for the first time in an effort to help families absorb the costs of adopting a child. Run4TheChildren has since become an annual event, and today, it sends participants running, jogging, or walking around a four-mile loop in the heart of Cinco Ranch. After the race, Run4TheChildren invites everyone to celebrate the day's accomplishments with live music and other family activities.
