Paul and Kellye Manuel planted their first vineyards in 1990, but their story actually starts decades before in Cornwall, England. It was there, in a small village called Chacewater, that the Manuel family tree originated. Indeed, this family-run winery in Kelseyville drew its initial inspiration from Paul's forefathers: a long line of rock miners who, like Paul, made their living from what the land gave them.
In the quarter-century since Paul and Kellye planted their first vineyards, they've seen their operation blossom into 35 acres and five varieties of award-winning wine—all of which are certified organic. The Manuels have since expanded their business to include extra-virgin olive oil, too, which they craft from olives handpicked from the family's certified-organic grove on the estate.
