The Barre Studio

After the birth of her second daughter, Kimberly Palacio turned to barre fitness as a means to reclaim her prepregnancy physique. The regimen's impressive results prompted her to earn her own certification as a barre instructor, and to open The Barre Studio, where clients of all ages, fitness levels, and penchants for collecting leotards benefit from individualized barre training. The studio's intimate boutique atmosphere complements its teachers' devotion to each student's form, which has prompted Atlantic Ave magazine to note that during her group classes, Kimberly "is watching out for you as much as a personal trainer would." As guests stretch through the barre technique's mix of ballet moves, orthopedic stretches, yoga poses and Pilates core work, instructors constantly adjust alignment and posture to ensure safety.

In addition to barre courses, the studio also holds fat-burning TRX-Kickboxing workouts, which can burn up to 800 calories in 45 minutes. Dance classes cover ballet, while children's ballet hone youngsters' sense of rhythm and love of parachute pants.
