Market Street Grille shines in its ability to reframe classics. Built around 1850, the building it calls home has housed everything from a buggy shop to organizations such as the Independent Order of Oddfellows. Although the original tin ceilings have received a fresh coat of paint, area history shines through, too. For example, the dining room's bookshelf originally served as a side door to the building, and the back bar's mirror spent nearly 100 years at a downtown hotel.
Traditional dishes also receive a twist Market Street Grille. Not only are international flavors added to made-from-scratch dishes, but the chefs add their own accents, as is the case with the slow-cooked pork ribs brushed with housemade barbecue sauces and the addition of apple-smoked bacon to the house specialty liver and onions.
