Proto's Pizza, Denver

At Proto’s Pizza, in the Northwest Highland neighborhood of Denver, customers can find an East Coast pizzeria that serves up traditional thin, -crispy, bubbly and charred pies. After owner Pam Proto moved from Boston to Colorado, she missed the pizzerias back east, and decided to open her own. This spot opened in 2001, off 15th and Platte Street, and is housed in a restored mid-century building with wood-framed glass windows, an exposed ceiling and lots of open space that is all filled with the tantalizing smell of wood-burning pizza. Fresh ingredients and homemade tomato sauce, paired with a full bar and an excellent wine list, make the restaurant a fan favorite.
