What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Modernisms peak was the middle of last century. From the iconic recognizable pieces to the nearly forgotten, we resurrect and reproduce the best of the mid century modern era. We manufacture each chair, each sofa & each designer tub one at a time.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
We've always been passionate about modernism pieces. We follow that passion and it lead us to not only retailing the mid century modern icons, but to manufacturing them as well.
What do you love most about your job?
Manufacturing yourself gives you so much control. For example you can choose soft, pliable top grain aniline hides that wrap well with tufting. Actually manufacturing the items allows you to choose the ingredients that go into the item. Down feather cushions? Solid wood frames? We love this part.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
We had clients invite us to stay in vacation homes that we have furnished. In one example we supplied furnishings for a modern brewery pub. The open tab was not the best part. The owner was filipino and created a birthday extravaganza for one of our team. People everywhere are great.
