The knowlegable and humorus Catain Gary was a wonderful tour guide ! We saw beautiful natural Florida scenery and a large variety of wildlife around every bend of the St. Johns River .It's a nice change from the man made scenery at the amusement parks !!! The boat was very clean and like new. The open boat made it easy to see everything !

Relaxing environment

Multiple adventures within an adventure! Hiking, zip lining, kayaking, etc., etc. The accommodations in the old school house were fantastic. The theme rooms, ours was Audubon, gave you an evening of exploration into the works of the namesake.

We loved everything. The staff was so nice. Schoolhouse inn was clean and comfortable. Scenery was great . It was a fantastic, quiet getaway for my husband and me. Cannot wait to go back.

Too many to list! The relaxed style, the cabin was amazing...offered all the comforts of home! Great view of the river. Enjoyed kayaking but the zip line was by far the best...if you haven't done it before this is the best place to try it. Our guides were awesome (Dave and Amanda)...entertaining yet fixated on saftey first! Give "Big Bertha" a try you won't regret it. It may take a day or so to relax with no tv, radio or clocks and limited phone service...but once you adjust it's wonderful!

The whole experience...Zipline staff @ the top of the list! The zipline was a hoot and incredibly safely done...kayaking cold water creek was wonderful the next day & though we had originally bought the school house accomodations deal also, we applied that toward a cabin on the river and glad we did. Small...but nice location and wonderful stay. Excellent trip, thanks!

From Our Editors

At Adventures Unlimited, infants to 12-year-olds develop their love of learning through hands-on exploration in a safe environment, overseen by a team of first-aid- and CPR-certified caretakers. The center combines a park-like outdoor play area, ideal for aspiring tag-players and botanists alike, with an onsite trove of dress-up clothes to aid children as they become pirates or tiara-wearing pirates. Adventures Unlimited also fuels fun with snacks throughout the day, though children are responsible for bringing their own sack lunches.

Age-targeted activities abound throughout the year, with story time for infants and toddlers, after-school activities and transportation to local elementary schools for school-age children, and a pre-school for 3- and 4-year-olds with semi-structured art, science, math, and language classes. A registered private kindergarten pampers 5-year-olds with attention before transitioning them seamlessly into local public schools. During the summer months, the center’s camp hinges on weekly themes that can transform participants into chefs or educate them on Oregon’s history of hiding gold in its rivers and children's ears.
