Turmeric Indian Grocery, Fort Collins

Fittingly, the idea to bring an Indian grocery store to Northern Colorado was conceived over a cup of hot chai while Turmeric's soon-to-be-owners were sitting outdoors, watching the sun set. Over the next year, that idea took on more shape, and by June 2017, it became a reality when Turmeric opened its doors.

Now, locals can peruse baskets overflowing with ripe mangoes, chili peppers, and other fresh produce, much of it essential to home-cooked Indian food and available nowhere else nearby. They can also meander to the shelves to discover everything from dried spices and canned coconut milk to other packaged food like snacks.
