Stormwater control. Soil erosion. Saving Rudbeckia hirta, otherwise known as the black-eyed susan. What do these things have in common? They're all issues being addressed by Save Maumee, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization working to protect and improve the Upper Maumee River and its diverse ecosystems. The organization goes about this considerable task through public education, advocacy projects, and marshaling the collective power of its volunteer base.
