Kick’n Axe, Fredericksburg

Step up to the line at Kick'n Axe, ready your hands behind your head, and lunge your throwing axe forward to (hopefully) score a bullseye. At this axe throwing arena—a member of the World Axe Throwing League—guests can practice their skills aiming for targets and cracking wood beneath the heads of their steel throwing axes. And with lanes side-by-side, they can compete with friends or family in head-to-head competitions.

Quick Facts and Tips

• Dress appropriately with closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothes for ease of movement.
• Chill out before a match on one of the couches or grab a board game from a nearby table to play while mom is up to throw.
• Bring your own food or grab from a food truck most Fridays and Saturdays.
• Snap some pictures of your best friend's perfect throw or grab some of the props available to stage a funny, memorable photo for social media.
