Deep Root Medicine specializes in mental health and pain management with acupuncture, massage, and herbal medicine. Our goal is to help you live your life fully, beginning exactly where you are. We endeavor to find where your roots are deepest, where your passion burns brightest, where you know yourself as alive and free, and help you to clear away whatever else is holding you back from the fullest expression of that truest and most vibrant life.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?

Acupuncture, often in combination with herbal medicine and tui na massage, can be remarkably effective for mental health and pain management. As is common for many of us, I have had struggles with pain, stress, and anxiety, and acupuncture and herbs helped me change my life. I wanted to open a clinic where I could give back.

What do you love most about your job?

I love that moment when someone sits up from the treatment table and is not in pain for the first time, sometimes in years. I love that each patient, each treatment, teaches me something about the medicine I practice. I love getting to work with someone while they change their life for the better.

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?

More than any specific statement of goals accomplished or pain relieved, the best feedback I have gotten from patients is when they refer friends and family. That kind of trust makes me intensely glad to be doing this work, and gives me a sense of appreciation beyond even the most eloquent words.
