About A Chat with Pat Harris School Of Dance
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
The PHDS was founded in 1971 with the aim of providing quality, tasteful dance instruction in a positive environment. We are a dance technique, core developmental base studio, specializing in teaching proper technique that can be carried over to sports and academic activities.
What's one tip for first-time students that will make them feel like veterans?
Wear clothing attire recommended for your choice of class. (Via website “Dress Code” page). If you are not able to purchase all the required items for your class don’t worry! You can wear clothes that are comfortable to move in and socks for your first lesson. Please feel free to ask questions.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Pat’s passion has always been dance, whether taking class, watching performances or teaching. She is a very social outgoing person that enjoys people. She loves teaching children the art of dance and teaching teens & adults confidence on the dance floor.
What do you love most about your job?
Working with people. Our students learn so much more then dance education; they learn life skills. Seeing the positive effect dance has integrated in the young people as they grow up is the most rewording part of teaching and a blessing.
