Stayed here after exploring Pisgah forest because we planned on doing some activities in Brevard the next morning and the hotels in Brevard all seemed to have full size beds and we needed queen since it was myself and two teenagers. The room was typical hotel room size but was a bit outdated/dingy...the carpets were sticky, had several patches, and kind of nasty in my opinion. The shower had a chunk missing along the wall and when I tried to grab one of the extra towels under the sink area, they were damp??!! Not sure if they were previously used or if the sink was leaking?? The nearby game area had a ping pong table and billiards table - those have seen better days too...Breakfast was mediocre...they only offered coffee and orange juice - I don't drink coffee and orange juice is too acidic in the morning for my stomach...so I just had water. My kids usually drink milk for breakfast so again, they had to go with the water too. We ended up eating some of the food we had afterwards because the breakfast wasn't as good as many other continental breakfasts in other hotels. Overall for the price I was a bit disappointed and I would have stayed closer to Brevard and just dealt with the smaller beds if I had know the condition these rooms were in. The staff was friendly and the pool seemed clean/nice but since it was raining while we were there we didn't get to use it.
