From Our Editors
Though each of the instructors at Woodloch Stable has a different list of horsecentric specialties, they all agree on one thing: when riding and training a horse, communication is key. Whether their students are taking a leisurely pass down an outdoor path or have competitive goals in mind, the staff knows that proper riding begins with the signals that riders give their horses. Staff members teach these during group and private lessons, as well as during kids’ day camps targeted to aspiring equestrians. The facility’s sprawling green pastures and tall, leafy trees paint a pastoral backdrop for trail rides and make a cozy home for the horses who board at Woodloch Stable. The staff also specializes in breaking and training horses, even those that have spent their teenage years grounded for bad behavior by their horse parents.
