Kenton County Golf Course, Independence

The Golf Courses at Kenton County include not one or two but three 18-hole courses, each with its own distinctive characteristics.

• Fox Run, an Arthur Hills original, contains links-type holes, lending it the feel of a Scottish course. But it also mixes in Carolina- and Midwestern-style holes for a one-of-a-kind golfing experience in Kentucky.
• The Pioneer, a classic example of a Midwestern course, was built in 1968, making it the first course of the complex. It slopes slightly on the front nine, then goes into increasing slopes on the back. (5,880 yards; slope of 115; par of 70)
• The Willows, designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan and once ranked ninth in the entire state, challenges players of all skill levels. (6,697 yards; slope of 137; par of 72)
