There's no denying the international influences on SoBro Cafe's main menu: just look at the red curry over jasmine rice, chicken cordon bleu, Cajun-style bayou shrimp, and other flavors that come from all across our giant candy-coated globe. Yet surprisingly, the food itself doesn't have to travel far.

The chefs here embody a farm-to-table attitude, sourcing their meat, eggs, and organic produce locally. They also make most everything from scratch, right down to the ketchup on the table. This carefully blended condiment can top bison burgers or sweet potato fries, which also happen to be one of the restaurant's many vegan and gluten-free options.

The desire to keep things in the community is evident even on the walls. Every painting hanging there is available for immediate sale, and all proceeds go directly to the artists. Of course, nothing's stopping the artists from coming back in, ordering a sausage and bison omelet for brunch, and falling into some sort of virtuous cycle of self-expression and breakfast meats.
