Wet N Wild 5k, La Mirada

Dashing and splashing make a fine pair at the WetNWild5k. This fun run combines the cardio-loving thrills of a 5K race with the giddiness of a morning at the waterpark for an experience the entire family can enjoy. The WetNWild5k benefits Strong Tower Ministries, a nonprofit organization that helps to feed, cloth, educate, and rescue impoverished children living locally in Orange County and Baja California, Mexico

• The Course: Participants walk or run the grassy trail that starts at the SPLASH! Aquatic Center and traces along La Mirada Regional Aquatic Center and Park in a circular, spectator-friendly course where ducks and geese root from the sidelines.
• The Finish Line: Runners get waist-deep in water as the race concludes in a cool-down wade of the lazy river. For those who don't want to get their shoes wet, a dry finish-line option skips the pool.
• The Swag: Everyone receives a finisher medal and tech T-shirt. The top 3 overall male and female finishers will receive a gift certificate to A Snail's Pace Running Shop.
