Kasey Redd believes that there is no single massage technique that can cure all ailments. So the licensed therapist took it upon herself to learn a variety of techniques in order to alleviate symptoms ranging from sciatica and arthritis to fibromyalgia and neck pain. For one client, she may perform a Swedish massage, which utilizes soft, gliding strokes to facilitate all-over relaxation; another client, meanwhile, may require a sports massage, which utilizes a soccer ball to roll out knots. Other therapeutic practices include trigger point therapy and hydrotherapy massages, and, depending on the client, Kasey may even recommend complimentary treatments such as paraffin wax baths or essential oil therapy.
