Sensei Cheah, a direct student of the legendary Master Nishiyama – a founding father of Traditional Karate, has been teaching for over 35 years in the U.S. and in clinics around the world. Sensei Cheah is recognized as one of the best Karate technicians and teachers worldwide. His expert knowledge is sought by students from around the world. His unique instructional style emphasizes the natural ability of each student combined with proper use of body dynamics and mental focus.

What was the inspiration to start the business? To teach the true spirit of Karate as it was intended by the Art’s original masters: Body, mind and soul all in harmony for superior physical and mental health.

What do you love most about your job? Positively impacting people’s lives through the teaching of a disciplined training of the art of Karate.

What is the best reaction you’ve ever got from a customer? “We have been coming to this Dojo for more than four years. The Sensei and his assistants are wonderful with the kids. There is a good mix of serious learning and humor. Each session has a variety of different activities that reinforce the skills the kids are learning. Students are given plenty of time to learn and practice before moving on to the next belt. Sensei often brings in little life lessons at the end of each class. This is a small, old school, community oriented Dojo. I feel my boys are very lucky to train under Sensei Cheah”.
