Art In Motion Academy of Dance, Lakeland

When Daniel Z. Smith Jr. enrolled in his first ballet class in 1998, he probably did so with some trepidation. The athlete had never danced before—his niche was practicing martial arts. But when fellow martial artists insisted dance would complement his main craft, Daniel took the plunge. Little did he know he would fall in love with dance. Today, Daniel is one of the passionate, experienced instructors at Art In Motion Academy of Dance. Each instructors boasts a unique history, and with it a talent for ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, or one of the other dance styles for both children and adults taught at the studio.
