We pride ourselves on smaller class formats, personal instruction during classes and open sessions. Our customers comment on our great music, lighting & clear instruction. Time isn't all on stage for our instructors - we help one on one and make sure you leave happy with your work of art!

What is the experience customers can expect?
During a visit to Avant-Garde you re-create a work of art while biting on menu items like Gourmet Grill Cheese, Nachos and Quesadillas. Beverages are available for sale and include house Sangria. All ages are welcome at AG and it is super fun here! Our public sessions are every Fri/Sat @ 6:30p.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Local artist Nichole Bouyea started Avant-Garde Paint Bar and Art Studio to serve the creative spirits of those located in Central Maine. Investing in a local downtown and giving people a place to relax make this a great business venture! Best part - we get to teach people how to paint!

What do you love most about your job?
Art serves all ages and every session we are rewarded with the beautiful creations of each. Having fun in a stress free, fun environment makes working at AG feel like a hobby or past time - certainly not a job!
