Bridal Consultation

we would be happy to schedule a complimentary bridal consultation, with tasting!
Due to the delivery and prep schedules we prefer (but are not limited to) scheduling consultations on Wednesdays between 9 and 4.

FAQ'S

How far in advance should I book my wedding cake?
At Tasteful Indulgence we suggest that you reserve your wedding date as soon as possible. We NEVER over-book or rush our cakes and therefore are very protective of our schedule (and your cake!). The sooner you book your date (with the required deposit and contract) the better your chance of getting the actual date of your wedding. Although we may have an opening for a last minute wedding (2-3 months notice) We are currently reserving wedding dates as far as 12-18 months in advance.
What do your wedding cakes cost?
At Tasteful Indulgence all bridal cakes are priced from a pricing matrix, meaning, that each component is priced accordingly. I truly believe this is the fairest process for giving you an honest and accurate quote. For example: the cake costs what it costs, the materials and delivery cost what they cost, if you add fondant, detail work or other accents they cost what they cost... all components are calculated in a spreadsheet I have perfected over the past 5 years. At your consultation I will give you a quote that includes all cake, decoration, stability system, delivery and set up and the tax for your venue's town. No surprises, ever. The only time the price quoted would change is if you would like us to adjust your design or servings, and we will happily do so accordingly.
For example purposes only
(keep in mind delivery rates fluctuate according to current fuel prices): A 4 tier round, standard flavor cake of your choice, iced in homemade buttercream, supplemented with 3 standard flavor sheet cakes (scored for your convenience), delivered to the haymarket area of Lincoln would provide 250 servings (238 if you save your top tier for your anniversary) and be quoted at $1204.97.
What is your delivery fee?
Wedding cake delivery fees are calculated into the wedding cake quote given to you at the time of your consultation, so there are NEVER any surprises. For long distance deliveries this fee is calculated based on mileage and the current price of fuel.
Can I order a wedding cake from somewhere else and get a groom's cake from you?
Or can my aunt make the cupcakes? At Tasteful Indulgence it is against our policy to serve cakes at an event where other cakes will be served, this includes (but is not limited to) wedding cakes, cupcakes, sheet cakes, and grooms cakes. We work very hard to ensure that each cake is moist and delicious, producing an exemplary product, and, cannot afford to have other cakes mistaken for our work. We also have very strict sanitation codes that we adhere to, and are not willing to accept the liability of serving cakes along side of others where we don't know the conditions under which they were prepared. This only applies to cakes, not other desserts, cookies or candies.

​The Original Cakemobile

Named the "Cakemobile" after being compared in "cool factor" to the Batmobile!
This beauty is a personally tailored 1989 Cadillac Fleetwood hearse, complete with front wheel drive and glasspack (cherry bomb) muffler! What better way to deliver cakes, after all, our cake is to die for!

​The Cakemobile 2 (CM2)

The CM2 (Cakemobile 2) was aquired in the summer of 2014 from Salt Lake City!
We are now able to deliver North and South, East and West, or just 4 huge weddings in one direction! What makes the CM2 it's very own gem? First, it has amazingly magical self leveling airbags in the back "space" so the cakes always stay level! It started out metallic gold, but, like everything that comes in contact with us it's now PINK! It rocks mirror chrome side plating and a "blinged out" rhinestone dash (yes, I did "pimp my ride").
