Though MurLarkey Distilled Spirits may have a sense of humor, they're serious about the quality of their craft spirits. The American Distilling Institute-certified craft distilled spirit producer's name is the combination of the last names of founders Thomas Murray and Michael Larkin and their grandfather Bill Kelly, and also nods at their Irish ancestry with a resemblance to the Irish word malarky. And they think there is really no better way to celebrate Irish culture than to distill high-quality, small-batch whiskey, which they call "the water of life."
Their whiskies include three inventive varieties. First, is Justice, their not-aged white whisky. It's made from a proprietary blend of locally sourced Virginia corn and barley, and features a clean, bright floral flavor. Clemoncy infuses the pure, white whisky with a kick of lemon, as it's aged in oak barrels over lemon peels. Similarly, Cincerity, a cinnamon-infused whisky, is aged in oak barrels over cinnamon sticks for a spicy, robust cinnamon flavor. To balance their lineup of whiskey, they also distill premium potato vodka and all-natural botanical gin.
